Orange French Toast with Grand Marnier   


1 loaf French bread
5 eggs lightly beaten
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1/3 cup Grand Marnier
Juice of one orange
Zest of one orange
2 tsp vanilla

Cut bread into 12 slices about 1 1/2 inches thick, place into greased baking dish. Mix cream and milk into eggs, add vanilla, and Grand Marnier and mix. Meanwhile, zest orange and add to egg mixture. Next, juice orange and add to mixture. Pour mixture over bread, cover and refrigerate overnight. The next day, preheat oven to 375 degrees and bake, covered, for 45 to 50 minutes. Uncover for the last 15 minutes. Top with whipped cream and orange butter
  Orange Butter  

1 stick unsalted butter
2 tsp Grand Marnier
2 Tbs. orange marmalade

Combine ingredients and chill. Serve slightly softened.
